On World Wetlands Day we’re proud to share the project in Iraq we’ve been working on over the last couple of years. GreenWater completed the design for this municipal wetland treating 4000m3/day of wastewater from Al Islah, a town located in the iconic (yet hugely degraded) Mesopotamian Marshes.
It has been an honour to work with the UN Environment Programme and the International Organization for Migration as well as the local sewerage company, fine tuning the design to fit their needs, completing training to ensure the system is well managed and producing literature to help others replicate the system.
